The National School of Arts and the Australian National Council of the Catenian Association are delighted to announce that ACU student Lauren Jones is winner of the Catenian Association Arts Travel Prize for 2024. The $2000 travel prize is awarded annually to a high-achieving student enrolled in a degree offered by the National School of Arts. The winner then undertakes ACU’s international core program in Rome, Italy. This programme has a strong Social Justice theme.
Lauren writes “I would like to pass on the message that I truly could not feel more honoured to have received such an incredible award. It is such a privilege to be able to learn at ACU where I can pursue my passions, and I am immensely grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity to enable my passions to truly flourish in a place as wonderful as Rome! I hope that I might be able to get in touch at the end of my trip as well to thank you all properly for this honour, and to tell you about all of the inspiring new experiences I have been able to take with the help of your organisation. This is a true honour that I will not take for granted. I cannot thank the Catenian Association enough!”
