The Cardoner Project is a Jesuit program for young Catholic men and women, aged 18 to 24 ars old. Most are recent HSC school leavers taking a gap year to volunteer to live with and assist marginalised indigenous people in South East Asia, the Pacific and Australia. Involvement varies from short immersions to year long stays, often teaching English.
Each participant is responsible for raising the funds to cover the cost of participation.
The Catenian Bursary Fund has been a significant supporter of Cardoner Project participants over a number of years. The photo shows the latest recipients before undertaking their emersion programmes. More details can be found at https://www.thecardonernetwork.org/
