INTRODUCING MATTEO PIZZICONI  –  A NEW MEMBER FOR DIANELLA

The annual joint meeting of the City of Perth Circle as host and the Dianella Circle was held on Monday the 21 September 2026 at the Newman Siena Centre in Doubleview. As normal, the meeting was a lunch time function due to the age of the majority of Brothers of the City of Perth. Brother John Murray was the host President and Brother Brian Niedzwiecki the President of the Dianella Circle shared the duties.

To complete the meeting, Matteo Pizziconi was then enrolled as a Brother of the Dianella Circle. This experience was certainly a surprise to most of the Brothers of the City of Perth Circle had not seen this experience for a considerable time.

Just a little about Matteo. He was born in Italy and migrated to Perth eleven years ago after a period of three years playing baseball in America. For a lengthy period, he was employed as a fly in fly out mining contractor in the north of the Western Australia. He is currently seeking employment in the metropolitan area and lives in the suburb of Beechboro. He attends the Italian Mass at Infant Jesus Church in Morley and enjoys singing in the choir and being one of the readers.

Matteo is only 36 years of age and greatly contributes to reduces the age average in the Dianella Circle. Following his enrolment, all Brothers in attendance, strongly welcomed Matteo as a Catenian Brother. He thanked all at the meeting for the opportunity to contribute as an active member of the Catenian Association. We trust that he enjoys a long and rewarding membership.
