Recruitment is certainly now happening at our Perth Catenian Group of younger Catholic working men. You may remember that this new Catenian Group 943 was inaugurated during the Australian Catenian Conference held in Perth during October 2023.
Since that time, several new Brothers have been enrolled, but with patience and persistence and support from other Catenians in Province 20, Brother Dean Lomma, the Chairman, Brother Adam Davini, the Secretary and Brother Rienzie Delilkan, the Treasurer and Development Officer, have recruited five Members in the past two months.
The Group has now found their home at St Paul’s Church in Menora and meetings are held after Mass, in the Parish Centre under the Church. Father Mariusz the Parish Priest has given them all the support that he can and attends meetings, when he is available.
A number of older Brothers from other Circles in Province 20 have also attended several meetings and their alternative social events and the younger Brothers are appreciative of this support and regular encouragement.
At the February meeting this year, three new Catholic men were enrolled as Brothers. They were Matthew Box, David Lim and Josh Slattery. Then during the March meeting, Michael Soh and Junior Soliano were enrolled.
Congratulations to all the brothers in the Perth Catenian Group and with more hard work and God’s blessings, I am sure that we will see further growth of the Perth Catenian Group.
