ANTHONY PITTAWAY
A NEW BROTHER FOR THE DIANELLA CIRCLE
At the meeting of the Dianella Circle held on Wednesday the 28th January 2026, Anthony Pittaway was enrolled as a Catenian Brother. The name may be familiar to many Catenian Brothers and so it should be. Anthony is one of four sons of the late Brother Graham Pittaway, who was an inaugural member of the Dianella Circle and went to God’s care three years ago.

Anthony’s enrolment was very special to me, Lou Daily. Twenty-four years ago, his father, Graham, sponsored me into the Dianella Circle. His leadership, contribution and commitment to the Association have been important to my involvement and my sponsorship of Anthony was a proud moment.
Now in Anthony’s words, here is his story:
I was born and raised in Perth by my parents, Graham and Helen Pittaway, alongside my three older brothers, Patrick, Michael and Daniel.
As the youngest of the family, I grew up in Dianella, where I have many fond memories of riding my bike around the neighbourhood and spending time with friends, many of whom I am still fortunate to know today.
I attended Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Primary School, and our family regularly worshipped at OLA Church. I later went on to St Mark’s College, before its amalgamation with St Thomas Aquinas to form what is now known as Chisholm Catholic College.
Professionally, my father arranged for me to undertake an apprenticeship in printing as a machinist. After completing my trade, I worked alongside him at his company, Cypress Print, until it was sold in 2007. I remained in the printing industry, working across paper companies and a range of small to medium-sized printing businesses.
More recently, I became a Director of Percival Print & Packaging in East Perth, where we manufacture paper-based cartons for the food and beverage, beauty, and pharmaceutical industries.
On a personal note, I married quite young, at the age of 23, to my beautiful wife Sophie.
We married in 1996 and are blessed with two wonderful children, Oscar and Curtis, who bring us both immense joy. Both boys have attended Chisholm Catholic College, and our youngest is commencing Year 10 this year.
Outside of work and family, I have a love for music and tennis, and I continue to hold onto the enduring hope that my AFL team, the Fremantle Dockers, will one day achieve their dream of winning a premiership, until then, we long-suffering supporters remain eternally optimistic.
It is with great pride that I have joined the Catenian Association. My father was deeply dedicated to the Association, which played a
significant role in strengthening his faith and service within the wider community. I look forward to meeting many of you in due course.
Regards
Anthony Pittaway
