Saint Thomas More Society Dinner
On Wednesday 3rd September, City of Sydney Circle hosted its annual Law night dinner with the Saint Thomas More Society at the Occidental Hotel, Wynyard.
City of Sydney brothers and wives welcomed Bros Graham Short, Immediate Past President of ANC and wife Ann, Geoff Young, Director Province 21 and about 24 members of the St Thomas More Society, including a lively group of law students.
Guest speaker was Dr Jeff Kildea BA,LLB,LLM (USyd,MA, PhD (UNSW) who spoke on “Sectarianism and the Law in Early Twentieth Century Australia”. Of the case studies referred to all had been resolved in accordance with the Law, despite The cases flaming extensive sectarian political, religious, media and public controversies at the time.
