FATHER KONRAD – EMBLETON PARISH
Three Priests were invited to the annual general meeting of the Dianella Circle that was held on Wednesday evening of the 29 April 2026. They were Father Adalbert, Parish Priest at Infant Jesus in Morley, Father Jeffey, Parish Priest of St Mary’s in Leederville and Father Konrad, Parish Priest of the Holy Trinity in Embleton.
This story is about Father Konrad who had never attended a Dianella Circle meeting before (unlike Father Adalbert and Father Jeffey who had previously attended) and in his words at the commencement of his talk said, “it was a real pleasure to be with you and your group, and I was grateful for the warm welcome received. I also appreciated the opportunity to share a little about myself and the life of the Parish”.

Father Konrad Gagatek was born in Poland, in the city of Krakow, in the suburb of Nowa Huta. When he was four years, his family migrated to Perth, and Konrad completed all his schooling in WA.
He then completed a Law degree at ECU, worked as an articled clerk for two years and almost immediately after being admitted to the Bar, he decided to enter the St Charles Seminary.
After ordination, was appointed Assistant Priest at St Andrew’s Parish in Clarkson for one year, then at St Joseph’s Parish in Northam for five years and then at St Mary’s Parish in Kalgoorlie for two years. In December 2025 he returned to Perth as the Parish Priest at the Holy Trinity in Embleton and hopefully for a six-year term.
Although being a small Parish, Father Konrad is very proud of the community in Embleton, and has numerous projects being undertaken and planned to enhance the Church and grounds. He welcomes any Catenian Brother who wish to visit the Parish for a Sunday Mass and share in the morning tea after. The new Parish Website is www.embletonchurch.com
The Dianella Circle thanked all three Priests who attended the meeting for attendance and support of the Catenian Association.
