TWO NEW BROTHERS FOR AVON VALLEY CIRCLE

At the Avon Valley Circle meeting held on the 8 October, two new Brothers were enrolled. This wonderful result follows on with the enrolment of Daniel O’Driscoll at the previous meeting. These two new members are Lachlan Hunter and George Paul.

Just a little about both new Brothers.  Lachlan Hunter is originally from a farming family in Bruce Rock. After school, he then achieved a degree in Agriculture and joined politics through the young Nationals. After a short time on the staff of Senator Bridget Mckenzie in Canberra, he then returned to WA and joined the staff of the sitting member for Central Wheatbelt being Mia Davies, until she retired.

Lachlan at a young age was then elected as the National Party candidate for the Central Wheatbelt in the general election held in March 2025, He now holds the position in the State opposition as the shadow minister for Agriculture and Food, Racing and Gaming, Mines, Petroleum and Exploration and his electorate office is in Northam.

Regarding George Paul, he is currently the Information Technology officer with the Senior high school in Northam. Prior to this position, he worked for a lengthy period in a similar capacity with TAFE in Northam. He and his wife and two daughters have lived in Northam for a considerable time and are parishioners at St Joseph’s Church

Lachlan and George, welcome to the Avon Circle, being part of Province 20 within the Catenian Association. Your fellow Brothers trust that you both contribute as active members enjoying your Catholic faith and fellowship with all the other Brothers throughout the Province.
