Somascan Jubilee Pilgrims of Hope.
Fr Sheldon Burke Crs approached the Province 21 Catenians who donated financial aid to help a few of the pilgrims above attend this pilgrimage. The photo above is of all the pilgrims leaving Sydney for Poland, their first stop.
They travelled and visited many places including Wawel Cathedral (Pope John Paul II’s church as Archbishop of Krakow), Auschwitz (where St Maximilian Kolbe offered his life for another), the Shrine of the Divine Mercy, and the tomb of St Faustina.
Next stop was Bari, Italy to visit the place where St Padre Pio ministered and then on to Rome with a side trip to Assisi.
The last week of the Jubilee of Hope started with a Mass with Pope Leo and then the week came to a finish with a final Mass in which around a million young people between 18 and 35 went to a Mass yesterday with Pope Leo XIV, the culmination of a week of celebrations.
